About David
I began to learn piano at the age of 6. I took up drums and percussion at the age of 9 and singing became a passion for me in my teens. I studied music at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff and since that time I have continued to develop my career as a musician alongside my teaching commitments. Above all else I love to pass on my passion for music and help students young and old to find their own love for music which will last a lifetime.

Music should be fun, but understanding theory and mastering technique will lead to a far more enjoyable career and life enjoying making music. My approach to teaching balances enjoyment and hard work. I tailor my lessons to each individual student to ensure they make the maximum progress they can in the time we have. Lessons range from 20 minutes for young beginners to 60 minutes for established musicians. I have taught music at GCSE and A Level in Secondary Schools as well as teaching music to nursery children and all in between. This has given me a unique overview of a child's full musical education and how to set a child on the right path to be successful. I am a professional performer with over 23 years' experience of live performance as a singer and drummer. I also have vast experience as a recording artist, both on percussion and vocals.
