About Jesse
Hi, I'm Jesse! I'm a professional singer, actor and musical theatre performer, and a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre.
Performing has been a huge part of my life for more than 20 years, and I've been fortunate to work across professional musical theatre, stage and screen. My performance credits include Disney's Frozen in Singapore, The Australian Ballet's Swan Lake, and productions of Into the Woods, Cabaret and Strictly Ballroom. I've also worked in Australian television, with screen credits including Neighbors, Wentworth, Jack Irish and Glitch.
Alongside my performance career, I have a genuine passion for helping others develop their skills, discover their strengths and become more confident performers. I understand that everyone comes to singing and performance for different reasons. Some people want to pursue a professional career, others are preparing for auditions or productions, and some simply want to build confidence and enjoy doing something creative.
My approach combines professional performance experience with a strong understanding of vocal technique, acting and storytelling. I also have a background in medical imaging, which has strengthened my understanding of anatomy and physiology and informs the way I approach vocal development.
As a teacher, I aim to create a supportive, engaging and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable exploring their abilities, asking questions and challenging themselves. I believe in building strong foundations, setting achievable goals and helping each student understand not just what to do, but why it works.
Whether you're just starting out, developing your musical theatre skills or preparing for your next big audition, I'm passionate about helping you take that next step.
I'm looking forward to working with you and being part of your journey!

My approach to teaching is built around personalised coaching, strong technique and the belief that every performer has the potential to grow with the right guidance.
As a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre, I bring professional performance experience and a practical understanding of what it takes to develop as a singer and performer. My credits span professional musical theatre, stage and screen, and I draw on more than 20 years of singing and dance experience to help students build their skills, confidence and artistry.
My vocal lessons focus on developing a healthy, reliable and expressive voice. Depending on your goals, we can work on breath management, vocal placement, range, registration, tone, pitch, musicality, diction and song interpretation. My background in medical imaging, alongside my understanding of anatomy and physiology, informs my approach to vocal technique and helps me explain the mechanics behind the voice in an accessible, practical way.
For students interested in musical theatre, we can combine vocal technique with acting, character development, storytelling and emotional connection. I believe a great performance is about more than singing the right notes - it's about understanding the story, making specific choices and connecting with your audience.
No two students are the same, so I tailor each lesson to your experience, strengths and goals. Whether you're a complete beginner, a recreational singer, a developing performer or an experienced vocalist preparing for an audition, we'll identify what you want to achieve and create a practical plan to help you get there.
I welcome people of all ages, across a range of experience levels, from beginners discovering their voice to experienced performers looking to refine their technique, prepare audition material or strengthen their performance skills.
Whether you're singing for enjoyment, preparing for a school production, pursuing musical theatre or working towards your next audition, I'd love to help you develop your voice and become a more confident performer.
