About Samantha

I love teaching and learning. All of my practice is evidence-based, and I keep up to date with advances in pedagogical thinking. My undergraduate degree was in Philosophy & Religious Studies and I hold a PGCE and a Masters in Education from Exeter University. My specialisms are Philosophy, Ethics, Christianity & Islam. I am very experienced, having held a range of responsibilities from Academic Scholars Co-Ordinator, to Head of Year, to Head of Teaching & Learning.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student's needs and learning preferences. There might be something specifically you need help with, or it might be that we work through a scheme of work, GCSE or A Level course from start to finish together. I have experience of working with a wide range of students with neuro-diversities, and will support each student to achieve their very best. I can also support with any anxiety you might have around exams!

Perfect! Sam is brilliant. Super-organised, absolutely on it. She is head of the RS department in a secondary school and really knows how to teach, both to get you through an exam but also to challenge you and make you think. She may cost a little more than some but you get what you pay for. There are a a lot of mediocre tutors out there. She isn’t one of them. Highly recommended. Five stars.

Samantha will make an amazing tutor. With her guidance I went from averaging D/C grade essays’ to achieving A*’s. Thanks to Ms Kelly, I fell in love with all things Philosophy/Religion and Ethics, so much so I went on to continue reading Philosophy at University.
