About Sanne

I was born in the Netherlands and since last year I have been living in Indonesia. I have always loved languages and when I visit a new country I try to speak the language a little. This way I often get to talk to local people and learn about their lives and culture.

The languages I speak are: Dutch, English, German and I am currently learning Indonesian. So I know all about what it's like to learn a new language. I think learning a language means learning by doing and not being afraid of using the wrong words.

I was a teacher in Dentistry for 8 years at the University for Applied Sciences in Groningen in the Netherlands. Here I gained experience in teaching large groups, but also 1-on-1 and online lessons.

In several countries in Europe I have taught First Aid and CPR to river cruise ship personnel in English, Dutch and German.

Since 2016, I have combined my hobby of diving and teaching by working as a diving instructor. This allows me to share my passion for the underwater world and show people this for the first time. That's amazing every time!

About the lesson

I like to keep my lessons interactive and adapted to your wishes. With quizzes, song lyrics and games, we keep track of your progress together and keep it fun. After all, it's easier to learn if you're having fun. To practice listening and conversation skills, we can talk about subjects you suggest or one of my favorite topics; travel, nature, ocean, volunteering, cooking and much more.

Ik heb mijn padi open water gehaald bij Sanne. Het doornemen van de theorie was heel prettig en was persoonlijke aandacht en verduidelijking bij vragen die ik nog had. Het afnemen van de toets was zeer professioneel. Het doen van de zwembadduiken en de buitenwaterduiken waren zeer prettig. Serieus en volledig maar ook ruimte voor een grapje en wat ontspanning met persoonlijke aandacht. Zeer aan te bevelen.
