I teach the Hal Leonard Guitar Method. This is the method I learned when I was a child and is the most beginner-friendly method. This method also teaches the student the ability to read sheet music. I also teach my students practical guitar skills they may need such as cleaning the guitar, replacing strings, etc. I try my absolute best to assure the comfort of each of my students. So that they do not feel uneasy within their learning environment. I also work with each student individually, as we all learn at different speeds. Patience is very important to me, as a student finds it more difficult to learn when their teacher is short and temperamental. I also make sure each of my students has whatever they may need and make sure they aren’t afraid to reach out and ask me anything whether it be related to music or life!
I have been involved in music since I was 9 years old. Originally starting on guitar, I additionally learned bass, violin, piano, and I am currently studying Music Production at Full Sail University. I played guitar and bass for my local churches worship band for 8 consecutive years as well as competed in National Fine Arts Festivals for 6 consecutive years. I also spent my youth assisting my mother in kids church to develop the next generation of young Christians. This is where I developed the majority of my teaching skills.
- This does not include the cost of the Hal Leonard Guitar method books and any other equipment you may need (I.e. music stand, extra strings, etc.) These costs will be discussed in the first lesson.
Timothy is a great guy who loves the lord and is always excited to work with people. He knows so much about music and playing guitar that who ever learns from him is in for a treat. He won’t quit until he knows that you have learned everything you possibly want to learn. I know him through my hometown church. He and I have known eachother since we were super young. What I have learned from growing up with him is that he loves music and loves when people get passionate about music.
I am a fellow musician who started playing guitar two years ago. I can learn songs by ear and have a vast knowledge of different genres. The only reason I have gotten to where I am today is because of Timothy. I have referred to him many times as a “Renaissance Man” and I believe that title suits him throughly. Timothy can play anything and he always plays it well. He will challenge you and push you outside of your comfort zone which will a help you achieve your musical goals at a rapid pace. He is very patient and understands that everyone learns in different ways and speeds. You will never hear him get frustrated with you if you mess up ,nor will he make you feel stupid for not getting something right away. Anytime I get stuck or don’t understand something I reach out to Timothy for help and ALWAYS get a very long response explaining what I need to do and explaining it in a multitude of different ways. Whether you’re just starting to learn how to play or you have been playing for years I would highly recommend seeking out his teaching due to the sheer amount of knowledge he possesses. He is a great teacher and one of the most talented musicians I have ever had the pleasure of playing with.
I think Timothy is a trustworthy teacher because he is patient. He takes his time to help you really understand and grasp playing guitar. If you have no experience of playing or want to learn more. Timothy is the man for the job. He is very knowledgeable and very skilled. Excellent teacher 10/10 would recommend.
I grew up in church with Timmy, he’s always showed a passion for playing and teaching others how to play the guitar. I recommend him because he is very knowledgeable and able to teach many the skills he already has.
