About Jinny
I am a former Special Education teacher with multiple years of experience. I decided to become a stay-at-home Mom of three children five years ago. I love teaching, baking, cooking, and making jewelry.
However, nothing makes me happy than working with students. I believe everyone can learn because I am learning every day, too. Seeing students that were failing to see students succeeding is the best feeling in the world. I want to help those who want to learn have that opportunity.

My method of teaching really depends on the student. I first assess the student's level of learning. Afterwards, I often start out teaching or reviewing tones in Chinese language. We do a little warm-up doing that. Next, I teach two or three characters per lesson. I often end with a little basic reading together or I read to the student. Lastly, I do assign a bit of homework, which I use Google Classroom and Seesaw. I will post a video each week on Google Classroom.
As a former Special Education teacher, I am skilled at teaching one-to-one. I love teaching students of all ages. I am a caring teacher who really wants to see the "lightbulb" go off in students' minds. It brings me great joy!
These lessons are for the beginner learners, often without any experience in learning Chinese. We will be learning lots of vocabulary, tones, and practicing reading and writing basic material.
