About Chayla

Are you (or someone you know) looking for music lessons? Look no further! I began singing professionally at the age of 14, with a background in genres ranging from jazz, to pop, to rock, and more. Singing has always been my biggest passion, and I've won awards and been selected for the Executive Producer round in American Idol due to my hard work. Along with these, I graduated Summa Cum Laude (3.92 GPA) from MTSU's Audio Production program. I've been writing and recording my music for over five years, with full proficiency in both Ableton and Pro Tools. I have also taught myself guitar, bass, and piano. I love teaching people new things, so feel free to reach out!

About the lesson

Whether it's increasing confidence in your voice, smoothing out any cracks, or learning how to hold that belt longer, I adapt my lessons and exercises to fit each student and their unique goals. It's essential to start with an idea of what you're looking for so I can help you best! I'm especially skilled at assisting beginner and intermediate vocal students who are developing and strengthening their voice. Typically, your first session will be foundational and consist of warmups, education, and exercises; after that, we'll dive a little deeper into how to improve your technique. I take an all-encompassing approach to the voice, meaning I like to take it a step farther and educate you about proper posture, technique, breathing, and how to attune yourself to your voice.
