About Anna
I have spent six years teaching guitar, working with 245 students ranging from young beginners to adults picking up the instrument later in life. My own musical background includes years of informal performance and self-directed learning, which shapes a practical, song-focused teaching style rather than a heavily theoretical one. I am warm and encouraging in my approach, believing steady, achievable progress works better than an intimidating technical curriculum for most learners. Many students arrive simply wanting to play a handful of favorite songs well, and I build lessons directly around that kind of personally meaningful goal. Watching a student confidently perform a chosen song remains satisfying.

My guitar lessons focus on getting students playing real songs as quickly as possible, since motivation stays far higher when practice feels musical rather than purely technical. Chord shapes and strumming patterns are introduced through simple, recognisable songs rather than isolated drills, so progress feels immediately rewarding. I keep explanations brief and hands on, moving quickly from a short demonstration into guided practice rather than long verbal instruction. Short video clips of tricky chord transitions are shared after lessons for continued review at home. Every few weeks I set aside a full session purely for informal performance, helping students grow comfortable playing in front of others.
