I teach based on students' needs, I primarily focus on building confidence with praise and appropriate challenge. I believe that once a person is confident they can achieve anything. I am also a big fan of steps to give independence to students.

Sallie tutored my daughter in maths for most of the last year. The aim was to build confidence and catch up with work missed due to lockdowns. She did this extremely well.
Sallie is a friendly and engaging teacher and she managed to get a reluctant 13 year old to say, unprompted, "I'm good at maths". Before Sallie's help she thought she was terrible at maths.
