About Finlay
I am currently a university student studying Computer Science at the University of Warwick who has been programming for 7 years. I very quickly grew to love programming as I took on projects such as creating my own 3D graphics engine and recreating any games or programs that I found myself interested in. Now it is nearly essential to have some programming ability and when taught right and in a rewarding way, you can develop a love for programming and problem solving like I have.

My lessons aim to be an interactive discussion, teaching students how to abstract and think through problems and how to then translate logical thinking into well written code. This is to keep the lessons engaging and to teach independent thinking alongside a deep understanding of the programming language. Lessons are an hour long and are aimed at all abilities, whether you have some experience but are looking to develop good practice and problem solving approaches whilst getting rid of bad habits or you are a beginner trying to learn one of the most essential skills to know nowadays.

Finlay is amazing at teaching the many physics and maths concepts that students have to tackle at GCSE and A-Level. His empathetic approach, always paying attention to the student and their progress, has ensured that any gaps in understanding are filled quickly and completely.
