About Jag
Hi, I'm Jag — a mechatronics engineering student with almost two years of tutoring experience in math, physics, chemistry, English, and coding.
Getting into a competitive engineering program meant mastering these subjects myself, and now I use them every day in my coursework. When I explain calculus or physics, it's not from an old textbook, it's from someone actively working with these concepts right now.
Over two years of tutoring, I've worked with students of all levels: those on the edge of failing, those aiming to turn a B into an A, and those simply wanting to feel less stressed about school. What they've all had in common by the end? More confidence, better grades, and building genuine interest and passion in the subjects.
You can expect professionalism from me at every step: lessons planned around your goals, sessions that start on time, clear communication with students and parents, and honest progress updates. No wasted time, no confusion about what we're working on or why.

My teaching philosophy is simple: understanding beats memorization. Instead of having students memorize formulas, I focus on the "why" behind them, because once a concept truly clicks, the problems solve themselves. I use active learning: students work through problems with me rather than watching me solve them, and I ask guiding questions that help them reach the answer on their own. I also connect abstract concepts to real-world examples from my engineering studies, which makes material more memorable and shows students why it matters.
