About MacDonald Digital Solutions
I’m part of MacDonald Digital Solutions, a growing digital learning business focused on making practical technology skills more accessible to people who want to learn, develop their confidence or begin a career in tech.
My own journey into technology started through training, independent learning and hands-on projects before progressing into professional roles within the technology industry. That experience has shaped how I approach teaching because I understand what it feels like to start from the beginning, encounter difficult concepts and gradually build confidence through practice.
Through MacDonald Digital Solutions, our aim is to provide practical, approachable learning in areas including web development, web design, full-stack development and data analytics.
I personally focus on web development and related technologies, helping students understand the fundamentals while gaining experience through practical projects. My goal is not simply to show students how to follow instructions, but to help them understand what they are building, why it works and eventually give them the confidence to build independently.

My lessons focus on practical, hands-on learning. Rather than simply following tutorials, students will learn by building real projects while developing an understanding of how websites and applications work.
Lessons can cover web development fundamentals, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, website creation and software testing, depending on the student's goals and current experience.
Sessions are tailored to each student and can include guided coding, project work, debugging, explaining difficult concepts and support with building a portfolio.
Lessons are suitable for beginners, students, career changers and aspiring developers who want to develop practical digital skills. No previous coding experience is required for beginner lessons.
Typical lessons are 60 minutes, with longer sessions available for project-based learning.
