About Santana
As a dedicated percussionist, educator, and music composer, I am passionate about helping students build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and achieve measurable growth in their musical abilities. My teaching experience focuses primarily on beginner and intermediate snare and bass drummers, where I provide virtually structured, personalized instruction designed to strengthen technique, timing, reading skills, musicianship, and overall performance quality. Every lesson is tailored to the individual student's goals, learning style, and current skill level, ensuring consistent progress in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Beyond private instruction, I have 4+ years of experience performing in concert, marching, and competitive percussion settings, allowing me to teach not only the technical aspects of drumming but also the discipline, preparation, and mindset required to excel. My Instructional Techniques
Since I know that all students learn differently, I adjust my instructions to suit every unique learning style. They include:
Proper stick holding, posture, and playing techniques
