About Josh
As a marine scientist, I have a well-rounded background in most hard sciences and mathematics. I have spent my whole life tutoring and teaching various skills and subjects to ages 3-25, ranging from computer science and chemistry to sports like scuba diving and windsurfing. In all my years of teaching, I have learned patience and the importance of meeting a student where they are at, and taking the time to improve their skills with passion and encouragement.

My lessons are centered around breaking down concepts to their simplest parts to promote a basic understanding of the underlying themes and mechanics of a problem. I don't like to teach sheer memorization of facts and figures, I like to teach the practical methods of understanding a concept so you can work out the answers yourself instead of relying on already knowing them.
