About Ellis

I am an experienced flute tutor with over 12 years of teaching experience and a passion for helping students succeed. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals who want to improve their musical abilities through organized and engaging lessons. My classes are designed to make learning enjoyable while building strong technical skills.

My teaching philosophy combines communication, patience, motivation, creativity, and personalized instruction. I adapt every lesson according to the student's strengths, interests, and learning pace. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel motivated to grow.

Besides flute, I teach music theory, rhythm training, ear training, breathing exercises, beginner keyboard, sight reading, music appreciation, stage performance, and improvisation. These subjects help students gain a deeper understanding of music.

I guide students in improving posture, breathing control, finger movement, articulation, tone production, rhythm, and expressive performance. I also teach effective practice strategies that help students continue improving independently.

About the lesson

I believe that learning the flute should be enjoyable while developing discipline and confidence. My teaching methodology is based on Communication, Accountability, and Integrity, creating a positive environment where students feel comfortable learning new skills and overcoming challenges.

Students first learn breathing control, posture, embouchure, finger coordination, and tone quality. Once these basics are mastered, lessons continue with scales, rhythm practice, note reading, articulation, dynamics, phrasing, musical interpretation, and stage performance. Every lesson includes revision to strengthen understanding and improve consistency.

Communication allows students to ask questions openly while receiving clear explanations and practical demonstrations. Accountability encourages regular practice, commitment, and personal responsibility for continuous improvement. Integrity helps me provide honest feedback, patient instruction, and equal encouragement for every learner.

Besides flute, I teach Music Theory, Sight Reading, Ear Training, Staff Notation, Rhythm Development, Breath Management, Instrument Care, Music Appreciation, Performance Preparation, and Practice Techniques. These additional subjects help students become confident and knowledgeable musicians.

My objective is to help students enjoy every lesson, perform with confidence, and continue improving through dedication and practice.
