About Rowan
I am an enthusiastic Saxophone tutor with 8 years of professional experience and a strong record of teaching around 150 students successfully. My goal is to help students build both technical strength and musical expression.
My teaching methodology is structured and practical. I focus on breath support, embouchure formation, tone clarity, rhythm precision, and finger technique. I also include scale practice, sight-reading, and music theory lessons to build a solid foundation.
I introduce students to different genres such as jazz, blues, classical, and contemporary styles. This helps them become versatile musicians. Improvisation exercises are included to encourage creativity and confidence.
I create a supportive and motivating learning environment. I guide students in setting achievable goals and maintaining regular practice habits. My aim is to help students grow into confident and independent musicians.

I follow a clear and organized teaching methodology for Saxophone based on Communication, Accountability, and Integrity. I begin with essential breathing exercises and long-tone practice to develop a rich, controlled sound.
Once the fundamentals are strong, I introduce scale mastery, articulation patterns, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. I ensure that students understand the purpose of every exercise. Weekly lesson plans and measurable goals maintain accountability and consistent progress. I monitor performance regularly and provide honest suggestions for improvement.
Integrity guides my teaching approach, ensuring dedication and professional support. Along with Saxophone, I teach Music Theory, Jazz studies, Ensemble skills, and Stage Performance techniques to prepare students for real musical situations.
