About Jared
This is an interesting challenge. How do I describe myself in such a way as to give an accurate impression of me? I could tell of how I was born into a military family, moving from base to base as I grew up. I loved the values of honor and service, but I never really had a home until my Father retired. We finally put down roots in the open wilderness of Idaho. I love the fresh air, brilliant stars, and the wild deer on our front porch.
But what does all of that have to do with teaching? Those same values carry over to programming and teaching. When you build something, it must be right. Perfection is a glorious thing. Shoddy work may save time now, but it will curse your life for years to come. There is no place for ego. Working as a team yields incredible results. Helping others grow is the best way to improve myself. The highest goal is for my students to no longer need my help.
This may help others see a little about me, but only the smallest amount. I don't have the skill or methods to share a better self-portrait.

I am an experienced beginner. Sure, I have worked professionally for fifteen years, bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars per year for my companies. Sure, I taught for three years as an assistant while in college. But the more I learn, the more I understand how little I know.
So I am not an amazing genius, but I am a fellow student. I have a talent for teaching, and I truly love helping others grow.
My lessons are times where we walk through the concepts together. We learn and understand together, no ego, no lectures.
I am happy to help in any way I can, but most of my knowledge is in computer programming with a bit of computer-aided drafting.
