About Jessica
I've always known I wanted to be a teacher, and received my degree in Elementary Education! I was a tutor to middle and high school age kids while I went through college, and I taught 5th grade this last school year. I have loved working with students at whatever level they are at. I am currently a high dosage 4th grade tutor, which means I work with small groups of students on what their class is focusing on in math or reading, aiming to help them reach their 4th grade learning goals in each subject. This allows me to give my students even more individualized attention than a teacher is able to give to the class as a whole. I would like to give more kids the chance to receive that individualized attention outside of school to meet their own learning goals as well!

I have experience helping kids who are behind to catch up with their work. We can focus on whatever skills you are working on at school right now, or skills that you missed and need help developing. Every lesson will look different based on what you need, but I love to use any tools available such as math manipulatives or hands-on examples, and we will do lots of practice, including solving one or multi-step problems based on real life. I would love to work with students at any age or level ranging from elementary math up to high school algebra and geometry.
