About Ruby
I am a young tutor who aims to establish confidence in students who find going into exams frightening, and teaching the exam technique to reduce this stress and to hopefully raise your grades. Lots of students miss out on this as it isn't taught in schools, but knowing what to expect in the exam is one of the most important ways in which to achieve a good grade. I used to hate learning! but now it's one of my passions, and I would like to share that with young students who were also in my shoes.

I believe that anyone can succeed in anything they wish as long as they try. During two years of covid, and more, I barely had any schooling and had to take it upon myself to be independent and teach myself the content. I went from only just reaching grade 5's in year 10 to grade 9's by the end of year 11, even after everything that happened. It is completely possible to improve by at least a grade and I know I can help others believe in themselves more and make themselves feel proud about the fact that work pays off. I'll show younger students the exact path and the right work that will lead to improvement and the best pay off possible. Schools don't teach exam technique, which is how many of my peers lost easy marks in their exam papers. This will be a focus during the lessons I teach. Each lesson, lasting an hour, will build a student's self confidence as they realise that higher grade is easily attainable. These lessons will be for students in year 10/11 at GCSE level.
