About Fields
Hello everyone! My name is Rohan Fields. I am a violin student from Alaska. I was first chair of my high school symphony orchestra. I started off learning the violin on my own at age 13 (late start I know!). I had started getting lessons to learn the violin. With a lot of time, patience, and commitment, I was able to find what I know I could have learned much faster. Everyone deserves to feel what it is like to make quality music, and I will be with you every step of the way to get on your feet efficiently.

I was a self-taught violinist and started getting lessons for four years. I've performed first chair for the Alaska Symphony Orchestra. I've struggled to only teach how I can make the next violinists better faster. The goals of my lesson will cover: 1) getting comfortable with music notes (without thinking). 2) knowing the systematic finger patterns. 3) How posture and movement affect sound. 4) Understanding your fingers (even if you're double-jointed). 5) How to produce effective vibrato and when to use them. 6) Notations of sound. 7) Understanding key signatures. 8) How to be precise with rhythm.
