About Rusty
The beauty of my background is that I am just a guy who likes math and wants to help students be their best selves in math class. I do not worry about credentials or formalism as much as fundamental professionalism and care for my students' success. I consider university degrees to be the logical fallacy of appeal to authority argumentation. I do not care about credentials, I care that you can do the math. You can either do the math, or you cannot, no paper decides it.

I was homeschooled until the age of Grade 9, during which I studied private school materials and completed Grades 7, 8, and 9 in just two years. I started high school in Grade 10 (while at the age of a Grade 9 student) and was selected to write the William M. Hogg Grade 12 math contest by the end of the semester because I was already working a year ahead of the curriculum.
Because of this path, I teach you to think, not regurgitate. I will teach you to work through problems, not cite by rote. If you want carbon-copy, one-size-fits-all mathematics, my style is not for you. I prioritize deep mastery of fundamentals before I even get into procedural shortcuts.

Perfect! Rusty is a very patient and smart guy. Excellent with kids. He asks lots of questions, so he can gain an understanding of what my daughter is learning at school, so he can help her to understand it better.
