About William
My name is William MacIntosh, and I've been playing guitar for over 20 years. I started on electric, moved into folk and acoustic, and spent years developing my fingerstyle technique. I've played in bands, accompanied singers, and performed solo in intimate settings. For the last 6 years, I've taught students of all levels — from complete beginners to advanced players looking to refine their technique. My teaching style is patient, clear, and adaptable. I understand that every student learns differently, and I take time to tailor lessons to your pace and goals. My students trust me because I'm consistent, encouraging, and I don't skip the fundamentals. I've helped nervous beginners play their first full song, experienced guitarists break through plateaus, and adult learners rediscover a lifelong passion. With me, you'll learn to play with clarity, confidence, and musicality.

Hi, I'm William MacIntosh. I've taught guitar for 6 years, and my approach is rooted in fingerstyle and acoustic playing — the kind of guitar that tells a story without needing words. I work with beginners who want to learn the right way from the start, and experienced players who want to add depth to their playing. We start with hand position, posture, and basic fingerpicking patterns. From there, we develop alternating bass lines, arpeggios, and melody integration to create full, rich arrangements. I teach you to play with dynamics, tone, and expression — not just hit the right notes. I also cover music reading, chord theory, and how to arrange songs for solo acoustic performance. My lessons are calm and focused. You'll build a solid foundation that will serve you for years.
