About William
Hi, I'm William MacIntosh. I've taught piano for 6 years, and my approach blends solid technique with deep musical understanding. I work with students who are serious about making real progress — whether they're preparing for graded exams, working toward an audition, or simply want to play with confidence and feeling. My lessons focus on posture, hand position, finger independence, and tone production. We cover scales, arpeggios, sight-reading, and theory, but always in a musical context. I introduce repertoire from Baroque through to 20th-century classical, choosing pieces that challenge and inspire you. I also teach students how to practice effectively, so your time at the piano is productive and rewarding. I believe music is both a discipline and a joy. My aim is to help you develop your technique while also nurturing your love for the music you play.
