About Nikhil

I have received 5s in AP microeconomics, macroeconomics, chemistry, US government, Comparative Politics and calculus. I have taken college level classes in multivariable calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, financial mathematics, intermediate microeconomics and intermediate macroeconomics. I have a 3.9 collegiate GPA and attend the University of Michigan. Starting in highschool I peer tutored other kids at my highschool for over 300 hours. I received a 35 on the ACT and a 1500 on the SAT. More than numbers, I am a social and personable tutor. On campus I am involved in multiple different student organizations and activities. I know what it means to be a student and struggles that come with balancing such, tests, homework and AP exams are not the only things on a students plate. I work with each student personally to find learning methods that fit their learning styles and preferences, but I also work with students to find schedules that are manageable, how to balance studying with the rest or their life and how to prepare mentally and physically for big tests.

About the lesson

I have peer tutored over 300 hours in highschool level courses, and am still a student my self. I understand how confusing teachers, professors and even older tutors can be. I’ve recently, and successfully taken many college math classes and AP exams, and understand what you need to know and more importantly how to teach in a way that will make sense to you specifically. I use visuals, real world examples and easy to understand language so everyone can do the problem correctly (and more importantly understand what they’re doing). I am a student myself, making it very easy to communicate with other students , while also being very familiar with modern learning methods, curriculum and college entrance testing, since I have tutored for over 300 hours with highschool students starting from when I was just a highschool student myself.
