About Denon
I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn campus in Liberal Studies with focuses in Environmental studies, geography, and anthropology. I also have a certificate in Environmental Interpretation. To make it simple, it's basically a degree in the behavior sciences.
I did not take my first college course until I was 30 years old, which was a huge step for me because I was not an excellent student in High school, but I'm from Detroit and the recession was so strong there around this time I had to take a step out on faith to try to create a better life for myself and for my family. I took my last class on Christmas 2020 during the pandemic.
That last semester I carried 13 credits, ended the semester with a 3.4 GPA and finished with a 3.0 GPA overall. I had walk and take buses through the harsh Michigan winters and summers, sometimes traversing through some unhospitable areas of a struggling metropolis, but I did it and I know you can as well. I will not only give guidance with assignments, but also be a friend in need with first-hand knowledge of what it's like being a student in this time.

I like to first break down the instructions of an assignment to make sure we are all clear what it is we need to accomplish.
Then we will take a step back and analyze how we can approach how we will start and finish an assignment and be sure to be concise in what we are trying to accomplish.
This approach really helped me while I was a non-traditional student at the University of Michigan. I know first-hand what it is to juggle being a parent, student, and an employee all at the same time. Like the saying goes, " How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time".
Sometimes creating an identity as a student helps when writing a paper or creating a power point presentation. Having a style, or a preferred approach, helps us with a lot on our plate to attack assignments in a timely fashion that is also very efficient.
