About Kieran

I am an engineer passionate about sharing knowledge, driven by the desire to share the rigor and intellectual curiosity I acquired throughout my studies. From the Lycée Franco Allemand de Buc to UC Berkeley, I discovered that learning is a construction process, much like building a solid building: it requires solid foundations, a logical structure, and quality materials.

My role is to guide you in this process, providing you with the tools and methods you need to build your own knowledge with confidence. My goal is to provide you with a solid foundation for your academic and professional success.

~~ My teaching techniques and methods ~~

I rely on a pedagogy focused on a deep understanding of concepts rather than simple memorization. My goal is to empower students to work independently. I implement effective work methods, inspired by my own academic engineering background, so that students can not only overcome current difficulties but also be prepared for future challenges. My experience as an assistant professor at Berkeley has allowed me to develop a caring and stimulating approach.

~~ Typical course flow ️ ~~

Each course is structured flexibly to suit the student's specific needs.

- Phase 1: Evaluation and clarification
We begin by reviewing the challenges encountered and the concepts to be reviewed. We clarify theoretical concepts using analogies from civil engineering, such as the construction of a bridge, where each concept is a beam essential to the strength of the whole.

- Phase 2: Practical application ️
We then move on to practical exercises, ranging from direct applications to more complex problems. I guide the student step by step, encouraging them to find solutions themselves and develop critical thinking skills.

- Phase 3: Summary and homework
We end the session with a summary of the key points and the implementation of application exercises for the next session, thus ensuring the consolidation of the acquired knowledge.

~~ My specificities as a teacher ~~
My unique background, from the Franco-German High School to preparatory classes, including ESTP Paris and a Master's degree at the University of Berkeley, gives me rare expertise. My in-depth knowledge of scientific subjects, and particularly programming for engineers, is a major asset. I don't just explain the subject; I also teach the work methodology and rigor of an engineer.

~~ Who are the courses for ~~
My courses are aimed at a wide range of students, wishing to prepare for their professional or academic future:

- Middle school (6th to 3rd): To strengthen the basics in Mathematics, Physics-Chemistry, French and English.

- High school (2nd to Terminale): For mastering scientific specialties (Maths, Physics-Chemistry, SI) and preparing for the Grand Oral.

- Scientific Preparatory Classes (MPSI, PCSI, etc.): For very high-level support in the main subjects and scientific programming.

- Preparation for post-baccalaureate competitive exams: Tailor-made coaching for exams and motivational interviews.
