About Liam Joshua

The L.J.M. Vocal Studio approaches singing in a simple, fun & easy way; let’s break it down:

Our Three major pillars of learning: (1) vocal technique and flexibility (We will give you exercises that will increase vocal range and ease vocal tension), (2) musical theatre repertoire and audition preparation (getting you to audition ready! Together, we find songs that you love to sing), & (3) vocal health and sustainability. The LJM Studio Technique is holistic; we talk a lot about music and technique but it’s all about storytelling.

MY TRAINING:

- Over 15 years of Private Voice Lessons; primarily in Opera & Musical Theatre. I myself continue to take voice lessons, being an actor/singer myself helps identify and problem-solve “performer” specific needs and wants.

- Performed in over 6 Professional Chamber & Concert Choirs around the country, Performed in Tony Award Winning Theatres, and had my own show at 54 Below! You’re welcome to check out my performer page.

- My Fancy BFA Musical Theatre Degree from Marymount Manhattan College. I am finishing my IVA Certification as a Level 1 Voice Teacher. With a concentration in Vocal Pedagogy & Science.

I have interned and coached with several voice studios around the city and performance art programs; including BroadwayWorkshop in New York City. Feel free to ask me for my teaching resume!

About the lesson

My studio is built for students looking to improve their range, flexibility & performance in Musical Theatre and Opera. We will build your voice with custom-tailored exercises that will help overall vocal stamina. From the beginner singer to the working professional, I stretch your voice to improve overall musicality and keen auditioning skills.

I am an active working actor, giving you real insight into what it is like auditioning in New York City right now. I use my experience and my critical knowledge in vocal anatomy and science to create a game plan for you and your goals. My students play an active role in becoming stronger musicians and storytellers.
