About Melissa
Language, to me, is more than grammar and vocabulary — it’s a living bridge between minds and cultures. As both an Arabic–English translator and an English teacher, I’ve dedicated my career to helping others cross that bridge with confidence and curiosity. My experience in translation has taught me the power of precision, nuance, and cultural understanding, while my years of teaching have shown me the joy of watching learners find their voice in a new language. In my classes, I blend these two worlds: we don’t just study English, we explore how meaning shifts between Arabic and English, how expression changes with context, and how words can open doors to entirely new perspectives. I aim to create a learning environment that is both intellectually rich and personally supportive — one where students feel safe to ask, try, and grow. Whether guiding a beginner discovering English for the first time, or helping an advanced learner master translation techniques, I strive to make every lesson a journey — one that nurtures not just linguistic skill, but a genuine appreciation for the art of communication.

As an ESL online teacher for years, I have found that my passion for teaching has grown with every year as an online lecturer, even with the complexities of the current educational landscape. And now, I feel myself literally pro at communicating with people around me, interacting with my students of various cultures and linguistic backgrounds, with all my responsibility for teaching them and keeping them engaged in speaking, writing, listening, and reading. I am also working on helping my advanced students reach their goals. I aim to support my students’ well-being, to know their “ups” and “downs” as English Learners and deepen their knowledge. I was working with my students through the past few years, on meeting the call for high qualities, and career-focused higher education by integrating exciting technology, appropriate literature, and cooperative learning projects and on helping students to enhance their soft skills, language problem-solving, and communication. Our courses keep a strong balance of theoretical learning and practical beyond online classrooms.
