About Daniel
I am a violin tutor with over ten years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory with a violin specialization. I love working with adult beginners and returning learners who want to explore music at their own pace. My lessons focus on improvisation and non-classical genres like jazz and blues. We use simple exercises that build confidence without feeling overwhelming. I teach ergonomic positioning and mindfulness to keep your body relaxed while playing. A relaxed body leads to better sound and more enjoyment. We explore Folk, Blues, Easy Classical, and Worship music to keep things fresh and exciting. I believe that learning the violin should be a creative and rewarding experience. You are never too old to start again or try something new. My approach is patient and supportive, always meeting you where you are. I encourage creative freedom and personal expression in every lesson. This approach is especially valuable for exam focused learners who need a strong theoretical foundation. I support students in building confidence with both theory and performance. You will learn to analyze pieces and understand their structure. My lessons make theory accessible and directly applicable to your playing. You will become a more knowledgeable and capable violinist. My goal is to help you understand the why behind every note you play.
