About Isla

I am a singing tutor with 6 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Music. I specialize in Classical, Pop, Rock, and Country singing, offering lessons that are both structured and flexible. My approach combines ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory to develop well-rounded musicians. I focus on personalized instruction, tailoring each lesson to the student’s goals, strengths, and areas for growth. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced singer, I work to improve vocal technique, performance skills, and overall musical understanding. Warm-ups, breath control, and vocal health are integral parts of my teaching. I also help students build confidence on stage and in auditions through practical performance exercises. About the lesson

For The Soloist in Training, we focus on building strength and control while maintaining vocal health. Warm-ups include gentle scales, lip trills, and sirens to engage the voice without strain. Hydration habits and proper breath support are emphasized to protect the vocal folds. Mindfulness practices, such as short meditation or guided breathwork, help balance performance goals with calm focus.

For The Church Ensemble Player, the focus is on blending, resonance, and stamina for extended singing sessions. Warm-ups include soft humming, vowel placement exercises, and gentle resonance work. Healthy vocal placement and posture are reinforced to sustain joyful, pain-free singing. Mindfulness timers and breathwork tools help manage anxiety and maintain attention during rehearsals or services.

Both personas benefit from tracking progress through vocal apps, recording practice sessions, and noting improvements in tone and range. Singing becomes a mindful, joyful journey rather than a source of strain. By integrating gentle technique, mental calm, and consistent care, students cultivate a resilient, expressive voice.
