About Jasmine
If you are a self-taught player, a teen, or a returning learner, you might find that my background suits your musical goals. My BFA in Music Performance from ETSU grounds my teaching in an oral tradition where tunes are learned by listening. I work with students who need structure alongside those looking for technical refinement.
You will find that I emphasize double stops and intonation to build your comfort on the fingerboard. I enjoy helping people grasp shifting positions and complex bowing patterns like spiccato or staccato. Vibrato and tone production become natural once we break them down into smaller components. My approach remains grounded in listening and imitation to help you develop your musical ear.
I find that building a strong foundation helps you feel more at home with your instrument. You can expect a relaxed environment where we work on grade exam prep for ABRSM or Trinity. My teaching method stays simple and keeps the pressure low.

Before we begin, a diagnostic assessment is the first step toward creating your plan. Understanding your current ability helps me structure our time effectively.
We will focus on your specific repertoire and the technical challenges that keep you from advancing. My degree in Music Performance means I have the classical knowledge to back up our sessions. We will spend time refining your technique until the music starts to flow.
It is a straightforward process that leads to better control. Just playing through the music.
