About Poppy
With over 4 years of experience in vocal instruction and a Bachelor of Arts in Ethnomusicology (Vocal Traditions), I help singers discover the richness of harmony and vocal expression. My passion lies in arranging voices, stacking harmonies, and crafting lush vocal textures that make every performance full and alive. I love exploring how different voices blend, balance, and lift each other. My lessons focus on vocal blending, counter-melodies, and arranging techniques that suit both soloists and groups. I guide learners through styles like A Cappella, Pop, Gospel, and R&B, encouraging versatility and creativity. We also explore improvisation, composition, and the storytelling power of tone. I integrate music history and technology into lessons to deepen understanding and inspire artistry. Students learn to record, layer, and mix their own harmonies. I teach school students, college learners, and aspiring professionals who want to shape their sound. Every session is hands-on, expressive, and collaborative. Let’s begin a musical journey together—where we explore harmonies that move, connect, and inspire.

My teaching approach centers on harmony, teamwork, and expressive ensemble singing. I help singers build skills that strengthen both their individual voices and their contribution to a group. Lessons focus on choral singing, part-singing, and vocal blending, where every voice supports the whole. I guide learners in mastering balance, pitch accuracy, and tonal awareness. Sight-reading exercises help develop quick recognition and confidence in choir settings. I encourage students to listen deeply—to themselves and to each other. My goal is to create singers who not only perform beautifully but also communicate musically within an ensemble. I work closely with both The Orchestra Member and The Crossover Artist to help them integrate naturally into group settings. Every session builds awareness of harmony and phrasing. We also explore breath control, diction, and dynamic shaping. I help learners become dependable, expressive, and confident members of any vocal group. Together, we’ll create music that blends seamlessly and resonates with unity.
