About Petra

I am a Spanish tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a Concentration in Cultural Anthropology. I specialise in teaching Spanish for customer service and hospitality industries. About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on helping students use Spanish to engage in meaningful conversations about the environment and sustainability. I emphasise vocabulary related to climate change, expressing concerns, and advocating for important causes. Lessons are gentle and reflective, encouraging thoughtful and conscious communication. I create a safe space where students feel comfortable exploring sensitive topics and sharing their ideas. I’m especially skilled at working with Conversationalists and Immigrants/Newcomers, guiding them to find their authentic voice in Spanish. Together, we practice real-life discussions and role-plays to build confidence and fluency. I use a mix of reading, listening, and speaking exercises that highlight environmental themes. My goal is to help you speak clearly and passionately about the planet. You’ll learn not only language but also how to be an effective advocate.
