About Dax
I’m a singing tutor with over 7 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a voice emphasis. I love providing personalized lessons tailored to each student, whether they are school kids, college students, or adult professionals. My teaching covers a wide range of styles, including classical, pop, movie songs, and folk music. I focus on building strong skills like ear training, harmony, and improvisation, while also incorporating music theory to deepen understanding. One of my strengths is helping students develop vocal confidence through safe and healthy techniques. Every lesson is interactive and supportive, designed to nurture each person’s unique voice. My singing approach focuses on helping students develop pitch accuracy, expressive singing, and strong confidence. For those just starting out or training soloists, I tailor lessons to build a solid vocal foundation. We work on simple exercises to improve pitch control and gradually move into songs that inspire and challenge each singer.
I use a variety of musical styles to keep lessons fresh and engaging. Exploring genres like pop, jazz, and ballads helps students understand musicality and expression. This variety encourages flexibility and helps each singer find their unique voice while improving technical skills.
Technology plays a big role in my teaching. I use recording software to let students hear their progress, ear training apps to sharpen listening skills, and pitch correction tools to guide accurate singing. These modern tools make learning interactive and motivating, helping singers stay focused on their goals.
