About Preston
I am a dedicated guitar tutor with 12 years of experience, teaching high school and college students. Over the years, I have successfully taught 200-300 students, helping them master guitar techniques and develop a deep love for music. My teaching philosophy is based on creativity, real-life examples, and collaboration. I use case studies of famous guitarists to inspire students and make learning more engaging. I focus on technique, improvisation, and musical expression while ensuring a structured and supportive learning environment. My lessons are designed to suit each student’s goals, whether they want to play for fun or pursue music professionally. Besides guitar, I also teach bass, ukulele, and music theory, providing a strong musical foundation.

My teaching approach for guitar focuses on creativity, integrity, real-life examples, case studies, and collaboration. I believe that learning guitar should be both fun and structured. I use real-life examples and case studies of famous guitarists to help students understand different playing styles, techniques, and music theory in action. Creativity is key—I encourage students to explore their own musical expression while mastering essential skills like chords, fingerpicking, and improvisation. Integrity ensures a supportive and honest learning environment, where students feel motivated to improve. Collaboration is also important, as I guide students in playing along with backing tracks, other musicians, or in group settings. Besides guitar, I also teach bass, ukulele, and music theory to provide a well-rounded musical foundation.
