About Ethan

I am a dedicated Piano tutor with 14 years of experience, specializing in teaching school to college students. My approach is focused on making learning engaging, fun, and tailored to each student's unique needs. I believe in fostering a strong foundation in piano technique while encouraging creativity and musical expression. My lessons are designed to be flexible, allowing students to progress at their own pace while ensuring they develop a deep understanding of music theory, sight-reading, and performance skills. In addition to traditional methods, I incorporate innovative teaching strategies such as using real-world musical examples, interactive software, and multimedia tools to keep students motivated and help them grasp complex concepts. I emphasize the importance of understanding the cultural and historical context of music, which enhances students' overall appreciation and performance skills. Whether students are interested in classical, jazz, pop, or other genres, I adapt my teaching to suit their musical tastes, making every lesson both relevant and enjoyable. My goal is not just to teach students how to play piano, but to inspire them to connect with music on a deeper level and become confident, expressive musicians.

About the lesson

My teaching approach for Piano is centered on clear communication, cultural sensitivity, and flexibility, ensuring a personalized learning experience for each student. I believe that every student has a unique learning style, and I tailor lessons to suit individual needs and goals. Whether you're learning classical, jazz, pop, or other genres, I use real-life examples and case studies to make learning practical and relatable, helping students understand how piano skills can be applied in various musical contexts.

I emphasize creating a supportive, patient environment where students feel comfortable exploring their musical expression. By integrating cultural sensitivity, I ensure that students from diverse backgrounds feel valued and respected. My flexible approach allows me to adapt to each student's pace, whether they are beginners or advanced learners.

In addition to piano, I also teach relevant subjects like music theory, performance techniques, and ear training, providing a well-rounded musical education that fosters growth and confidence.

With 14+ years of piano exp, I teach classical, jazz, soul, funk, R&B, and pop. Specializing in piano, harpsichord, synthesizer, and keyboard. Develop your passion and skill with expert guidance!
