About Cleo
I’m a guitar tutor with 6 years of experience and a degree in Music Performance, dedicated to helping students grow as expressive and confident musicians. My teaching blends technical skill with artistic depth, creating space for both structure and creativity. I believe every guitarist should develop a strong foundation while also learning to play with feeling and purpose. In our lessons, we focus on musical expression, critical listening, and unlocking your individual sound. I emphasize chord theory, improvisation, and ear training to build well-rounded musicianship. Technique is taught in a practical, musical context—always connected to the songs and styles you love. I’ve guided students from early intermediate to advanced levels, as well as professionals seeking to refine their artistry. My goal is to help you develop not just as a player, but as a creative thinker and musical communicator. My teaching approach to guitar is clear, creative, and designed to bring out each student's unique sound. I help learners build solid technique while also exploring their personal style. Lessons include classical fingerpicking, staff reading, and hybrid picking techniques to give students both depth and versatility.
I focus on tonal control and expression, helping players shape their sound with intention. Whether you're learning for passion, performance, or recording, I adapt lessons to fit your goals. I guide students through structured skill-building, but always leave space for creativity and experimentation.
We use real songs, targeted exercises, and recording tools to track progress and develop musical instincts. I’m especially experienced with teens exploring guitar as a form of self-expression and with artists working on studio-level playing.
Together, we’ll sharpen your rhythm, phrasing, and interpretation. I also include light theory and ear training to support long-term growth. Lessons are fun, focused, and flexible—because your music should reflect you.
