About Karina

I am Woman Grandmaster/International Master from Russia, ranked among the Top 50 women players in the world. I am a winner and prize-winner of national and international tournaments. I teach chess to everyone who wants to improve their understanding of the game and, more broadly, develop their intellectual abilities through chess. I have 15 years of coaching experience working with students of different levels. I hold a higher education degree in pedagogy (including chess coaching) and have published several scientific articles on the role of chess in children’s development.

Throughout my career, I have worked with women's team from Brazil, young talents from Central America, and the youth team of the Republic of Tatarstan. As a professional player, I have been training with various strong Grandmasters from Russia, gaining insight into different teaching methodologies, including the renowned Russian chess school approach. I also have a large collection of educational materials.

Many of my students have become champions and prize-winners of regional, national and international tournaments.

About the lesson

I provide chess lessons for both kids and adults.

My program is based on a comprehensive approach to chess education and depends on the student’s level.

For beginners:
It is important to develop tactical vision and learn the fundamental rules and key positions in the opening and endgame.

For intermediate players:
We continue improving tactical vision while also developing positional understanding — how to evaluate a position, create a plan, and navigate typical middlegame structures.

At this stage, we also work on building an opening repertoire. The goal is not simply to memorize moves, but to understand the underlying ideas and the connections between the opening and the middlegame.

In every case, I first assess the student’s playing level and then create an individual training plan tailored specifically to their needs.

Chess lessons are conducted according to this personalized program, based on the student's knowledge, abilities, and goals. I provide all the necessary chess literature, training software, and homework materials.
