About Cathyrn
I have lived and worked within my local Hispanic/Latino community for 20 years. I am self-taught, I've learned Spanish from being around it every day. My husband is from Mexico City, Mexico. He has helped me further develop my fluency in the Spanish language. I've worked consecutively the last 6 years as a translator/interpreter. I worked for a local community clinic as a bilingual representative. I currently work for my local school district as a bilingual specialist. I work directly with students and also help translate documents for the office, sometimes forms and documents directly from admin. I have helped translate during IEP meetings. I participate in all of our cultural events. I love what I do, love my community. I love helping those who need someone to be their voice.

I work directly with students, either one-on-one or in small groups. I typically work in the school setting but am willing to tutor remotely. I help ESL/ELL students with the English language and translating and breaking down materials for them in Spanish so that they understand the material. From there, we work together to go over the lesson/materials that they are working on and work through them.
