About Tyriek
My name is Tyriek Taylor, and I’m a graduate of The Art Institute of Philadelphia with a passion for creating art that brings people together through creativity and self-expression.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to mural projects in Philadelphia and expand my artistic practice in New York City, where I became known for my live body painting performances using an airbrush machine. These interactive experiences led to bookings for festivals, private events, and creative productions throughout New York City and Austin.
In addition to painting, I have experience designing and recreating costumes, allowing me to blend fine art, fashion, and performance into unique visual experiences. As both a working artist and educator, I love helping others discover their creativity while building confidence and technical skills. My goal is to create an environment where students feel inspired to experiment, grow, and develop their own artistic voice.
My first big art show will be this winter here in Austin, Texas at The, Hail Mary, Studio

Art has been one of the greatest teachers in my life. As a graduate of The Art Institute of Philadelphia and a working contemporary artist, I bring both formal training and real-world experience into every lesson.
My goal isn’t just to teach technique it’s to help students develop confidence, curiosity, and their own creative voice. I believe every person has the ability to create meaningful work when they’re given the right guidance, encouragement, and freedom to explore.
Whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time, building a portfolio, or simply looking for a creative outlet, my classes are designed to meet you where you are. Together we’ll learn the fundamentals, challenge ourselves, and discover how art can become a lifelong tool for expression, problem-solving, and self-discovery.
