About Charles
Gigging across the American South has defined my musical life. It is just me, a guitar, and a long setlist under neon lights. I have spent 13 years fine-tuning my sound to resonate in small venues and crowded halls.
Working with 91 students has given me a deep appreciation for the unique ways people learn to use their voices. I focus on range extension, vocal health, and vibrato control to keep your instrument in top shape. Voice training is mostly about learning to get out of your own way. I admit that I still get nervous before a big performance despite my long history in the industry.
My approach leans heavily on the BFA I earned at Belmont University to ensure your technique remains sound. We will work through warm-up exercises and specific health routines to protect your vocal cords. This is a safe environment for absolute beginners and career performers to find their footing.
I bring 13 years of experience to every session to help you feel confident behind the microphone. We can tackle exam preparation or just focus on finding your natural resonance.
You will find that my style is chill and entirely focused on making the music feel honest. I provide a free trial lesson to check your range and discuss your personal goals. We will make sure you feel heard and supported while we navigate these techniques.
