About Renee
I am a creative writer based in New York City. I have been writing both creative nonfiction and fiction for the past 7 years, some of which has been published in Los Angeles based publications. I am a part of regular writers' workshops in the city, where I learn from established published writers and continue to hone the craft of writing and proofreading.

I specialize in creative-generative tutoring and editing, whether that be for college essays, graduate theses, personal essays, or creative short form fiction/nonfiction.
I hold my master's in journalism from USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, and my Certificate in Creative Writing from UCLA Extension. I work professionally as a Communications Specialist.
I cater to high school and college students who find themselves at a creative block, whether that be before they have written their first sentence or once they have finished and simply need a pair of fresh eyes to proofread their work.
I believe that the creative process requires patience and listening in order for ideas to marinate and fully blossom. I meet each student where they are at, and try to infuse fun into each session!
