About Nakisha
Young orchestral musicians often struggle with tone production until they master the fundamentals. My 12 years of experience allow me to identify technical gaps that hinder growth. I emphasize tuning by ear and consistent ear training alongside rigorous scales and arpeggios.
These methods ensure students develop a disciplined practice habit. Having transitioned to full-time teaching after 13 years in youth symphonies, I now focus on building foundational clarity for every student. It is gratifying to see technical precision emerge from dedicated study.

Precision is the primary metric for every violin meeting. I track progress through a monthly report shared with parents to ensure consistency.
Students refine their intonation through rigorous ear training exercises and daily scale work. We analyze tone production to achieve a professional sound quality. The environment remains disciplined to help students maintain focus during difficult passages. Orchestral techniques are integrated to prepare learners for ensemble playing.
