About Hivda
I am a year 13 A Level student in England who has a wide understanding of languages. I have many siblings so I'm used to tutoring, and I can give lessons on my native language which is Turkish. I am fluent in Turkish and English, having spent my life alternating between the two countries, but I am also learning Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese at the moment. I have a big understanding of cultures and concepts and I want to do my best to ensure that these cultures are shared around the world and that languages are more widespread. I believe that one set style of learning is not applicable to suit everyone's needs, and expecting this to be the case - such as schools do - is often unrealistic. Everyone's minds work and interpret things in different ways - some may prefer visuals, some oral, some auditory etc etc. However it may be, there is a way to reach out to everyone out there, and every student is more than capable. I make sure to approach things as methodically and clearly as possible, and I have a lot of experience with my younger siblings who are currently at GCSE and SATs level, and therefore I am extremely patient and understanding. I just want to help those who struggle with a bit of extra support to help them gain confidence in their abilities, and I am happy to go over the same topic multiple times - it is up to the teacher to find a solution to adhere to the students' needs and areas of confusion. I'm extremely sociable and I hope to build a rapport with all those that I teach!

I have a GCSE qualification in Turkish at grade 9, and I was only a few marks off full marks across all four papers - I'm happy to discuss methods to pass the GCSE which will include active learning and discussion with past paper questions, or to just learn the language in general. My teaching method is verbal but I will definitely include oral and written activities to push your understanding of the language further. I'm attentive to my students and I'm patient, I know languages can be extremely difficult. I'm here to support you with whatever resources you need to the best of my ability, whether that is finding ways to help you concentrate, or improve pronunciation, oral or written skills. Speaking a different language is hard and a long, lengthy journey, but it is always best in my opinion to start your journey now rather than later. It will be worth it in the end.
