About Theresa
Knitting has been my primary creative outlet and source of relaxation for 30 years. I'm a continental knitter as my German mother taught me the basics.
As a graduate of the University of the Arts London, I bring a strong background in visual art and design to my work, with a personal passion for vintage 1940s and 1980s patterns and experimenting with creative color and yarn combinations.
Long before online video tutorials existed, I taught myself advanced techniques, from cables to colorwork, from books and magazines.
Having spent three decades mastering the craft, I am eager to share this beautiful, rewarding hobby with students of all levels.

I believe the excitement of creating a beautiful garment or other wearable is the ultimate motivation for mastering new skills.
My teaching approach centers on project-based learning: together, we select a pattern tailored to your goals and break down every new technique step-by-step as it appears in your work. Rather than practicing isolated swatches, you will learn to read your fabric, avoid twisted stitches, fix dropped stitches and other mistakes and learn to read patterns and charts.
Learning something new requires patience. I provide a calm, encouraging space where asking the same question five times is completely fine.
