I am an 18 year old college student who plays 3 instruments including flute. I have previously tutored 7th grade students with playing flute and absolutely loved it.

Methodology

I like to do one-on-one coaching to make sure they understand how, what, when, and why as the information is being presented to them. I also want to make my lessons an open environment for questions, ideas, and suggestions that cater to each student's specific learning style. This could include helpful videos and charts to demonstrations or step-by-step coaching. My teaching approach will include patience, encouragement, and I will be able to include some of my own experiences in each lesson whether it be playing solo in front of a church to playing as a group in a marching band. Ultimately, I want my approach to teaching to enable each student to continue learning and practicing even when I am not present. I hope to convey the passion I have for music to whomever I get the honor to help.
