About Malayah
My name is Malayah Ogletree, I am a 15-year-old gifted honor student who has been tutoring locally for about 3 years and has been teaching my younger siblings since I was ten. I am a student at Griffin Region College & Career Academy and I am currently enrolled in Education as a Profession, my goal and passion is to make sure children who are struggling in school or having some insecurities about what they're currently learning in school can confidently retain what they're learning and be able to learn in their way.

My approach as a tutor is to be a flexible tutor, a support system for any student while creating a safe and encouraging learning environment, and to be a role model to students.
-What sets me apart from other tutors is that the grade levels I tutor are in a similar age range as me and my younger siblings.
- I tutor 3rd grade to 5th grade, all middle school grade levels and 9th graders.
- Informational videos, thorough explanations, practice questions, explicit instructions, differentiation, and real-world application.
- Though lesson plans differ due to student's grade level and subject a typical lesson plan would be:
Lesson Objectives

* Example: "Student will be able to solve multi-step word problems involving addition, subtraction, and multiplication."
Warm-up Activity
* [A brief activity to engage the student and review previous concepts]
Example: "Mental math exercises or a quick game related to the day's topic"

Guided Practice
