About Sienna
I'm an 18 year old student, studying in my first year at the University of Edinburgh (after receiving 3A*s).
I began playing the piano at the age of 4 and have, since then, been involved in everything musical at both of the schools I've been to. I can confess that I found practising scales completely infuriating as a child and because of this, I'll know how to manage other students if they have this same attitude. I'm now so grateful to be able to play whatever I want, whenever I want, and will hopefully show this to whoever I'm teaching so that they'll be motivated to have the same skills. I've taught family friends piano and so I've had experience with younger children when they've had a tough time to practise.
I was a music scholar at The Leys School in Cambridge and have performed multiple times every year on both the piano and violin (my second instrument). I was given the Triston Plows Cup for music to finalise my school experience to represent my dedication to the department and I'd like to think it's an authentic show of my character.
P.s. my favourite pianists are Rachmaninoff, Beethoven and Debussy if this excites anyone out there!

Hi there future student!
I'd love to encourage and help any of you piano lovers to really enjoy the instrument again. I can completely sympathise with a lack of motivation (having had to be bribed as a child to do my scales) and will try my best to find engaging ways to overcome this. I'm very happy to teach traditional ABRSM or, if desired, I'm happy to adventure into all genres without any of that pressure.
I'm best teaching those of lower grades (around 1-5), and, as I’ll be studying in student accomodation, lessons will need to be in the students house or online.
