About Charlie
I’m a dedicated and approachable GCSE Maths tutor currently studying A-Level Maths. Having recently completed my own GCSEs, I understand the challenges students face and how to explain topics in a clear, simple way that actually makes sense. I understand the mental blocks many students face and I know how to work through them in order for a student to get the best grade possible. My goal is to help students build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve the grades they’re aiming for.

I keep my tutoring style simple and relaxed. I focus on breaking topics down clearly and then going through examples, and making sure you actually understand why something is the way it is instead of stating just a method. I use past-paper questions a lot because they’re the best way to build confidence and improve grades. My lessons will be an hour long but I can adjust this to suit the client in front of me. I’m 17 and currently studying A-Level Maths, having just finished my GCSEs, so all the GCSE content is fresh in my mind. I know how the exams feel and what teachers and examiners expect, which helps me explain things in a way that makes sense to students. My lessons are for GCSE Maths students of any ability, usually aged 13–16. Whether someone is aiming for a pass or trying to push up to the top grades, I tailor the sessions to what they need.
