About Vanessa
Hi! I’m a Year 12 student currently studying Biology, Chemistry, and Spanish at A-level. I recently completed my GCSEs and achieved excellent results, including grade 9s in Biology, Chemistry, and English Literature, and mostly 8s across my other subjects. I’ve always enjoyed learning and discovering new ways to understand tricky topics, and I love helping others do the same. I want to tutor because I find it rewarding to see students gain confidence and understanding — there’s nothing quite like that “aha” moment when something clicks. I enjoy explaining ideas in clear, simple ways and adapting my approach to suit each person’s learning style. Through school clubs and helping younger students, I’ve developed patience, good communication, and the ability to make learning engaging and accessible. I’d describe myself as kind, approachable, and reliable. I’m confident working with people of different ages and backgrounds, and I’m committed to helping students feel supported and motivated. Tutoring isn’t just about teaching content — it’s about inspiring confidence and a love of learning, and that’s exactly what I hope to do.

I’ve supported younger students through school clubs, helping them with classwork and study skills. These experiences have helped me develop good communication and listening skills, as well as patience when explaining things in different ways. Having done very well in my GCSEs, I understand what it’s like to prepare for exams and how to stay organised and motivated. I’m excited to use what I’ve learnt to help other students reach their goals.
